If you you sing, dance, play an instrument or have some other creative performing talent, and live in Washington State, this is your opportunity to shine in the SHOW OFF! TCTV Talent Contest spotlight! Nonprofessional performers who live in Washington State are invited to enter. Performers must be at least 7 years of age. There are performance categories for dance, vocal, instrumental and variety acts like magic, juggling, or other unique performing talents you may have. SHOW OFF! is a benefit fund raiser for Thurston Community Television.

Judges Choice

The SHOW OFF! Final Competition judges will select their favorite act on the afternoon of April 1, 2012 when SHOW OFF! takes the stage at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts at South Puget Sound Community College. Second and third place trophies will also be presented.

Audience Choice

The Audience Choice Award will be awarded a week later, on April 7th, and is determined by the generosity of the audience in the auditorium and those viewing on the TCTV Channels and on the Internet. Every $1 donated will be counted as a vote for the donor’s favorite act. This is a benefit event for TCTV so we encourage our viewing audience to vote often! The act with the most audience vote$ will be named the Audience Choice winner. We will also present 2nd and 3rd place trophies.

preliminary Judging: Saturday, March 3, 2012, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

preliminary judging will be held at the Kenneth J. Minneart Center for the Arts at South Puget Sound Community College. There are 35 timeslots available for the preliminary judging. TCTV will accept early entries until 5:00PM on March 2nd. TCTV will assign preliminary performance times for all pre-registered acts. Any timeslots not filled by March 2nd will be available on a first come basis at the Saturday, March 3rd. Each act will have 10 minutes to set up, perform, and remove all equipment from the stage. Your actual performance must be NO LONGER than 3 minutes 30 seconds.

SHOW OFF! will provide equipment for CD playback, 3 microphones, and a piano. No other equipment will be provided. See the SHOW OFF! rules for more information. Each act will receive a DVD copy of their performance! A maximum of 15 acts will be selected to perform in the SHOW OFF! Final Competition. Finalists will be notified by 5PM Monday, March 5, 2012.

Final Competition: Sunday, April 1, 2:00 PM

The SHOW OFF! Final Competition takes the stage at the Kenenth J. Minneart Center for the Arts at South Puget Sound Community College for a 2PM matinee show. This is a FREE event for the public and will also be carried LIVE on the TCTV Channels and streamed on the Internet.
